Terms of Service & Liability

01 Eligibility

Rush LSP currently serves students and organizations in the Chapel Hill and Raleigh area. If you are a student or organization located outside this area, please contact us and we will determine whether service is available for your location.

02 Services Provided

Rush LSP provides scheduled pickup, professional wash, dry, fold, and delivery service. As an Individual member, you are eligible for one large Rush LSP laundry bag per scheduled service week, subject to Rush LSP's service policies and applicable capacity limits.

03 Member Onboarding

Upon enrollment, you will be provided a Rush LSP laundry bag with a custom member tag and, where available, login access to view or track your laundry status. You agree to use your assigned bag and identification method as directed by Rush LSP.

04 Pickup & Delivery

You agree to place your assigned laundry bag at the designated pickup location by the applicable cutoff time and to follow Rush LSP's pickup and delivery instructions. Rush LSP will return processed laundry according to the applicable service schedule.

05 Pricing & Payment

Pricing is set out in the Service Schedule provided to you (or your organization) at enrollment. Each payment covers the two weeks of service that follow completion of that payment. If payment has not been completed, service will not be provided for that period. You are responsible for all charges associated with your selected service unless payment is being made on your behalf under a separate written agreement with an organization.

06 Formalwear Benefit

You are eligible for free dry cleaning for one formalwear item per semester, subject to Rush LSP's eligibility and handling requirements. Additional formalwear items may be serviced for an applicable per-occasion charge.

07 Prohibited & Restricted Items

• Items labeled “Dry Clean Only.”
• Delicate garments or items requiring specialized cleaning or handling.
• Items requiring line drying, hang drying, or other specialized drying methods that Rush LSP cannot accommodate.
• Items requiring special care outside standard wash, dry, and fold processing.
• Bath mats and other heavily weighted or bulky floor coverings.
• Quilts, rugs, comforters, and other oversized or excessively bulky items.
• Items containing or contaminated with urine, feces, vomit, or other bodily fluids.
• Any item presenting a health, safety, sanitation, contamination, or equipment risk.

Standard towels and bed sheets are permitted. Rush LSP reserves the right to decline, return, or remove any item it reasonably determines is unsuitable for standard processing.

08 Member Responsibilities

• Use the Rush LSP bag assigned to you and remain within applicable service limits.
• Remove prohibited, restricted, valuable, or non-launderable items before pickup.
• Follow pickup and delivery instructions and provide accurate contact information.
• Notify Rush LSP promptly of any service issue or suspected loss or damage.
• Maintain payment information and pay all amounts due under your selected service.

09 Organization Partnerships

Organizations — such as fraternities, sororities, or other groups with a single pickup location — may enter into a separate Organization Partnership & Service Agreement with Rush LSP on behalf of their participating members. Organizations agree to:

• Designate a primary point of contact for Rush LSP.
• Help communicate enrollment, pickup, delivery, and service policies to participating members.
• Provide reasonable access to the agreed pickup and delivery location.
• Maintain any agreed minimum enrollment during the contract term, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Promptly notify Rush LSP of any change to the designated contact or service location.

Individual members participating through an organization remain responsible for complying with these Terms, including bag limits, prohibited items, and proper preparation of laundry for pickup.

10 Care & Liability

Rush LSP will exercise reasonable care in handling your laundry. You acknowledge that ordinary laundering may involve risks such as color bleeding, shrinkage, fading, or damage related to a garment's condition or care instructions. Rush LSP does not guarantee removal of all stains, odors, discoloration, or pre-existing damage.

Rush LSP is not liable for anything that happens to your bag before pickup or after it has been delivered to the designated drop-off area. Any loss or damage claim must be reported within 24 hours of drop-off to be considered. Approved claims are limited to a maximum of $100 per bag.

11 Cancellation & Termination

Your service agreement runs for a semester-long (16-week) period, billed and prepaid in two-week increments. Prepaid weeks are non-refundable. Cancellations must be submitted at least 2 weeks before your next billing cycle. Rush LSP may suspend or terminate service for nonpayment, material breach, unsafe conditions, or repeated violations of service policies, subject to applicable law.

12 Changes to These Terms

Rush LSP may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date, and notify active members by email.
